Pusan National University approved the establishment of the Periodontal Disease Signal Network Research Center(Chief of center: Park, Hae-Ryoun) and the Advanced Dental Medical Device Commercialization Center(Chief of center: Kim, Hyeon-Cheol), which were selected as the MRC(Leading Research Center Support Program) of 2018 at the Pusan National University School of Dentistry(Dean: Cho, Bong-Hae) on August 28.

The Center for Periodontal Disease Network is expected to bring direct benefits to the national oral health improvement as well as the dramatic development of the research ecology of the dental power by the large-scale national policy project which enforces the research fund of about 9.8 billion won for seven years.

In addition, Pusan National University has decided to actively support various companies that develop, produce and sell dental medical devices through establishment of commercialization center.

The commercialization center is expected to conduct a variety of projects ranging from biological testing of various dental medical devices and materials to mechanical and electrical tests and clinical linkage tests, as well as improving the quality of dental medical devices and supporting the production of promotional materials for market research.
